Meet our Compliance and Risk Consultant, Wendy Hufford
Wendy Hufford is an award-winning, experienced Fortune 500 General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer with expertise in corporate compliance, ethics, and risk management.
A graduate of Yale Law School and a member of the NY Bar, Wendy has led legal, compliance, and risk management programs for some of the country’s largest public and private companies — including retail leaders such as Ascena Retail Group (Ann Taylor, LOFT, Lane Bryant, Dress Barn, Justice, Maurices and Catherines) and Chico’s FAS (Chico’s, White House Black Market and Soma).
As Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Enterprise Risk at Chico’s, she developed and led compliance and risk programs to support Chico’s and thousands of its retail employees across 1,200 U.S. locations, making her uniquely qualified to help businesses meet the growing expectations around workplace violence prevention and employee safety.
Today, Wendy advises companies nationwide through her consulting firm, Effective Dispute Management, LLC, helping businesses improve their processes by designing practical, simple and effective approaches to compliance and risk.
She brings this same expertise to the NY Retail Worker Safety Act Training course, helping ensure that it not only meets NY legal requirements, but also reflects real-world best practices in compliance, risk mitigation, and employee protection for retail businesses of all sizes.

Our course is designed to meet or exceed current NY State’s RWSA requirements, giving you confidence that your team is trained, and your company has a high quality program in place to address this new legal requirement
Track completion
We can host the course via our own LMS, or on your own system. No matter the platform, we will track completion of the course, maintain close records, and store completion certificates for 3 years
Maintain status
NY State RWSA training in an annual requirement for employers with 50+ employees, and a bi-annual requirement for employers with 10+ employees. We will help you keep track of this training requirement by updating you on your compliance status each year

The course is approximately 30 minutes of text, audio, and interactive simulation. It can be completed in one sitting or paused and resumed.

Yes. Each employee receives a completion certificate, and we retain training records for at least 3 years.
